| At todays first service Mr schmucker talked about the proposed law against speaking out against homosexuals(note my use of the correct term, not gay which once meant "happy") I suppose we cant talk bad about black people either, otherwise its racism. but its okay to talk about the spanish?
What happened to our first amendment? I like to spread God's word by saying homosexuality is wrong, which I did get yelled at (a year ago) by my teammates during one of our soccer practices...AT A CATHOLIC SCHOOL! apperantly they didn't think the Bible stated homosexuality was a sin. But, not much offense to the Catholics, a good deal of average catholics are just "playing" Christian and don't even bother with the Bible at home. I'm one of the few people who tries to have morals. GRAAAHHH!!!! I can honestly say I hate it when a ethnic is blamed for problems. Which, is very big in todays politics. Okay, it might be nice to have variety with a black or female president, but I choose what they hope to do (as far as they tell us) over how them being president makes America soooo much better. today you never stop hearing crap about the opponent. I agree with Mr. Washington and we should've tried to avoid political parties harder. "So tell me Mr(s). campaign runner," says the interviewer, "what makes you so great?" "my opponent eats babies," answers the reply.
Okay, I'm leaping more than Sam Beckett, sorry. jacob came for the weekend, had some fun. hes gone....again....
Found some "animation" made by a game critic, not reviewer, whose only job is to make it look good. but critic, whose job is to find the holes in the game. Interestingly he often talks about a bad camera as a main fault in games. that's easily believable, but you think it'd be fixed by now. He has some great analogies and has found a few "great" games, one of which actually achieved a perfect mark, and this guys job is to put it down. of course this game was the physics influenced puzzle game "Portal."
America is the only place in the world where we censure things. Things dumbs down a lot of things, leave it free and public and something will actually lose some of its appeal, not that this is the solution for everything, just an interesting thought. People Also like to blame videogames for violence, yes this is over done by both sides, but is pushing a button on a controller to watch, possible bad art of: stabbing, shooting, and JUMPING, the same as pointing and pulling a guns trigger? Not quiet, though the WII does come close. If I want violence Ill just beat up "EVIL," FAKE, GRAPHICS on a computer while being lazy and not breaking any laws. and if someone is insane and kills because of a game, is it the games fault they were insane? And note that games also come with ratings, which dont amount to much in movies, and only somewhat in games, but the really gory ones are rated "M" which requires an adult to buy. Presumably at 18 your responsible enough to tell the difference between fake and real life. also, sometimes it's coincidence that a guy plays a game and later murders. bah, we can blame the automobile industry for all these car crashes.
I started reading the Dune series after too much pressure from seeing it and not know some references. I think ill just read the normal story, no prequels for me, because there are a ton of books. They're pretty good, the fourth one is in a different style...kind of... and thats it for them. I might read "Ender's Game" next. or that alternate World War two book.

| In the future, caffein will be a thing of the past. HI Mr. Z, how are you doing? I heard on the radio this mourning that the president (Mr. Bush, he still exists.) wanted to ban offshore oil-drilling. or at least something like that. It was to pressure Congress into some form of action. that's all I heard and remember. Let's reveiw some things I've put to much thought into. Government: Democracy- Decent form. Hopefully it's done correctly otherwise it could be disasturous. Sometimes it's slow to act. a large population can be bad for it because then you need many things done, and people bikker over who does it, how, and how much to pay them. It's extra sensitive to every one, and can overdo making up for opressed, that way it can veer away from itself in that a minority may actually rule in some aspects. Prejudice does still exist though. My mom has recieved an E-mail talking about the temporarity of Democracy, a good summary is as follows: "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." Democracy is like that, slow to corrupt, but because of this it is not that noticable and hard to stop. It probably wont work to well in the future when e have planet wide government, expecially not an universal government. George Wachington gave two words of advice when he left the white house for the second time, one of which was: avoid political parties. I don't think we did to well, but it seems to be inavoidable. Pure Monarchy- hmmm...hard to say... power currupts, absolute power absolutly currupts. Sometimes you get a good person in there. This govt. is quick and deciceve. Not everyone always agrees, but they don't really have a say. usually. And sometimes a nice person (on the throne) is forced to adhere to a bad tradititon Communism- This may have been a great government, except for one thing. it is easilly taken over. It is largly weak to sin and cant stand up for long. Once in a religeon class (I go to a Catholic school) we were told to make a "perfect world" other wise God would blow up the Earth. I was ridiculled because I said Communism would work. But in my mind Comunism working has the same odds as God doing just that...and not replacing it. I don't think t would be exactly the same ithout sin, because there wouldn't need to be work, but you know... Socialism- I actually haven't looked to deep into this, I want to though. Seems decent, some faults. I wrote a lot about Democracy because that's ours, and I know the most about it. Maybe If i moved to England and Russia...... other things, or rather, other thing. Bartering vs Currency. Bartering is interesting. People will be aware of an objects value. They are not so easily conned. it makes good trade, unless someone DOESN"T know an objects value, such as a new invention. What about a soldier though? What if he's seen no war time? He wouldn't be rewarded (payed). so an army wuld be weak until war is upon them. and it may be a little late by then. so he would have to find something else to do. I suppose the only payment for a soldier is board, meals, and exercise. and retired people? are they provided for? they cant really retire. but the world ould be a lot more productive with less "Stupid" market items. Currency- Currency may have some ups and downs. a down is that, until we have universal currency, it's only worth something in certain areas, the places that use it. it is taxxable allowing the government money to do things. It can pay people. It is stable. but there is the matter of inflation. Isn't the number 9 great? | | |
| HYPER SNOW ATTACK!!! School wasn't canceled for the snow, students were not allowed to call their parents to get out. snow continues. Isaac almost has his character made. Isaac was making a snow-fort in our BLVD. I'd rather not abbreviate it but I don't know how to actually spell it, at least not enough to have spell check correct it. Bethany and Jacob are watching "Spanglish." I don't know what happened to Adam Sandler, he seems to have switched from comedy to family, not that I care much. I'm not into movies often anymore. Most of them are some re-incarnation from 10-20 years ago. Can't seem to beat Civ IV ... Have I said I have Civilization 4?...I think I did. Oh and Adam seems to like including Sex as a theme.

| Watched The Land Before Time, good movie. not the other eight or so, but just the first one. Ike wants me to help him make a character for our games that has good stats and skills, He wants to take jacobs role as "Rouge-esque player" because I made a level 5ish mission. I say he can have the spot, but if jacob makes his guy first, then too bad. I'm really hating this keyboard, not that it has a small back-space button, which it does, but the fact that several buttons only respond 1/5 times. I've run expirements, 1/5 is the average. | | |
